There is a quote about Michelangelo which states:
“Other sculptors have to learn sculpture, but Michelangelo would have to learn to not be sculptor”. Who said it.

I am only paraphrasing, and I know it ain’t that good ( the paraphrasing that is).

    It’s actually not really about Michelangelo, so much as it is a reference to the fact that some people can be book taught and some people have a natural ability for design.

    Alan Perlis said this. He was a professor of computer science at Yale University and known for his pioneering work in programming languages.

    “Everyone can be taught to sculpt; Michelangelo would have had to be taught how not to. So it is with great programmers.”
