I learned something interesting about Muhammad?

DougDoug_ asked the question:

According to modern Muslims, Muhammad is not to be depicted in drawings, sculptures, etc. Did you know that the US has a sculpture of Muhammad? Not just anywhere, but in Washington DC….in the Supreme Court Building….in the courtroom itself!

Interesting, huh?
For those who are curious, and for those just being pricks:

Sherzade, actually that’s not true. From what I understand up until about 500 years ago he was depicted quite frequently in art by Muslims

He isn’t supposed to be portrayed BY Muslims…A non-Muslim can depict him, but they will still go nuts, call for your head, burn your flag, kill a priest, kill a nun, and blow a bunch of people up.

    Rational Bunch….aren’t they?

Don’t blame me….It’s what they did when the Danish Cartoonist drew a picture. I’m just stating a FACT!!!

Yes. This basically has the same source as Christians being forbidden from worshiping graven images. Of course, Christians ignore this and fill churches with images of God, Christ and the Saints.
